What is Jardiance ?

Jardiance Tablets (generic name: empagliflozin) is a drug that inhibits SGLT2 (sodium-glucose coupled transport carrier 2).
By inhibiting SGLT2 and suppressing sugar reabsorption, this medicine promotes sugar excretion into the urine and lowers blood sugar levels.

How Jardiance Works

Empagliflozin is used to treat type 2 diabetes.
Empagliflozin is said to be a sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor.

SGLT2 is a protein that works in the renal tubules of the kidney.
The kidneys have the role of reabsorbing sugar from urine and returning it to the body.

Jardiance effect
