VISIA is a skin diagnostic device that finely analyzes the condition of the skin, such as spots, wrinkles, and pores, item by item using the latest cameras and analysis technology. It can also analyze skin age.

It captures images of the face in color and UV light to analyze the condition of the skin. It can analyze spots, wrinkles, and even estimate skin age from images, which are not visible to the naked eye.

It features wide-ranging illumination and a 3D position matching function.

Therefore, it prevents errors in image analysis caused by changes in color tone due to shading and misalignment during photography, allowing for accurate skin analysis.

Additionally, VISIA uniquely combines the functions of color photography and UV photography. It analyzes spots, wrinkles, pores, and skin tone irregularities through color photography.

Features of VISIA

VISIA has accumulated a large amount of data from skin diagnostics. There are over 100,000 pieces of accumulated data, including more than 11,000 from Japanese individuals.

By comparing your diagnosis results with the average of your age group, you can objectively assess your skin quality.

In addition to skin analysis, VISIA can simultaneously measure the length and volume of eyelashes.

By determining the baseline line from images with closed eyes, VISIA measures and evaluates the average length and volume of eyelashes on a 5-point scale. This allows for numerical assessment of the effects of mascara for volume enhancement or lash lengthening products like Latisse.

It can also measure the efficacy of eyelash growth treatments using products like Latisse or GrandeLASH.

① Spots

We analyze all pigmentation on the skin surface based on the color, size, and shape from color images.

Even faint spots, liver spots, and freckles that are difficult to distinguish with the naked eye can be identified, allowing for preventive measures against spots.

② Pores

We analyze pores based on their characteristic of being recessed and shadowed compared to surrounding areas.

We can read the number and shape of pores. VISIA can analyze pore openness, which is difficult to see with the naked eye, allowing for the prevention of skin problems.

③ Hidden Spots

VISIA can measure not only spots that are already visible on the skin surface but also hidden spots that have not yet appeared on the skin surface.

Based on the results of VISIA’s skin diagnosis, early treatment for hidden spots can prevent spots from appearing on the skin surface.

④ Porphyrins

VISIA captures Porphyrins, which are the cause of acne bacteria, through UV photography.

By analyzing the amount of Porphyrins that glow in response to UV light, it is possible to determine whether the skin is prone to acne or where acne is likely to occur.

By analyzing the amount of Porphyrins (metabolites of acne bacteria), we can propose appropriate acne treatment methods to patients.

⑤ Number of Wrinkles

We analyze wrinkles, which are characterized by fine linear lines darker than the surrounding skin color.

We analyze the number of wrinkles on the skin surface based on the characteristic of “fine linear lines darker than the surrounding skin color.”

⑥ Fine Texture of Skin

By analyzing the smoothness of the skin surface, we analyze the uniformity of the skin.

We compare the central color within a certain range and other colors to judge the roughness of the skin. If the color of the skin surface is uniform, we judge that the skin texture is fine.

⑦ Skin Tone Unevenness, Redness

The color of the skin changes mainly due to the amount of two elements: melanin and hemoglobin.

When there is a large amount of melanin, the skin color becomes dark, and when there is a large amount of hemoglobin, the skin color becomes reddish.

VISIA measures skin tone unevenness and redness by separating and visualizing melanin and hemoglobin.

Using skin diagnosis by VISIA for treatment of facial flushing, acne, and pigmentation, it is possible to measure the effect before and after treatment.

⑧ Skin Age

Finally, it is possible to diagnose skin age.
